Aldo diSorbo manifested an 'odd' behavior for a child his age. He began to speak at a very late age, around 8, and most of his relatives considered him 'retarded'.
While Aldo could work on something that interested him for hours in a row, other things bored him rapidly and he gave up on them rapidly.
In school, Aldo was considered a below average student, because although he mastered sciences like mathematics and physics, he failed at most of humanities subjects.
At the end of high-school, he took the examination entrance exams at a Polytechnic Institute and got in with a very good grade which made Aldo's parents very proud.
